The focus of attention in the large-format paintings is on vague,
life-size human silhouettes. These establish a physical relationship with the image,
opening up two spaces: an underwater landscape reminiscent of the sea,
including fish and seaweed; and a digital space connected to a computer's
home screen by upper and lower toolbars. The emphasis is placed on the technical
representation of the 'natural' and on questioning how humans relate to the world.
The small drawings are an additional layer that breaks through the standalone character
of the paintings.
