Introduction to the Exhibition
With Juran Landt, Syker Vorwerk presents the 13th winner of the Werner Kühl Prize. Born in 1994, the artist was honored by the Werner Kühl Foundation in 2024 for his work DIVE. In his colorful drawings, paintings, and digital works, Landt combines analog and digital imagery to create fragmentary yet highly reflective spaces.

The exhibition STREAMS continues the drawing practice begun with DIVE. In the Interface series (2024/25), open screen windows appear containing motifs such as waves, streams, or memes—visual archives in which digital order and personal image creation intertwine. The Mesh Roaming drawings (2025) also play with networks and permeability, while the small-format Bottom Text series works ironically with language, everyday phrases, and meme aesthetics.
In addition to the drawings, Landt presents large-format paintings on canvas in which the logic of digital surfaces is translated into painting. The animated GIFs of the Stream and Deep Sea Cable series form a separate group of works that directly transform the theme of flow into digital movement.
The eponymous “streams” thus refer equally to water, data flows, energy, and streams of consciousness. Landt's works question how our perception is formed and shifts between the analog world, digital order, and art-historical references.
